Dating Tales
Current tales:
One day when I was bored, a friend told me about Footloose Dating and I decided to sign up. Well, after I signed up, I went to search for different profiles. I saw this one profile that looked interesting, he had actually signed up that day too and I emailed him. Well, he emailed me back and we continued to talk online through email. I liked the sound of him so we chatted on the phone – to cut a long story short, we met up in April and we’re seeing how things go. All I can say is that internet dating isn’t just for losers- its for people looking for a little mystery…something to spice up your life. Remember, be careful- there are some wackos out there and you won‘t always find someone. Play it safe.

When people ask me how I met my ‘girlfriend‘, I tell them the internet. At times you get the “Oh my God your crazy” responses. I wasn’t looking for love or a relationship at the time, I was just curious as to who or what was out there.
I was going through a divorce and didn’t want to pick up ladies at a bar so I went on an internet dating service. You honestly don’t know who the “real” person is on the other side of the screen, they could be handing you a line of lies for all you know. But one woman in particular did strike my interest. We emailed back and forth and talked on the phone for almost a month. Then the big question came “when do you want to finally meet?”
Luckily, we hit it off pretty well from our first meeting and have been dating ever since. She‘s good fun, comes from a large family (who are great), has a great job and we get on very well. It’s too soon to say what will happen, but I am hopeful.

Want to share my internet romance? In May of 2009 I went on to an over 40′s dating site out of curiosity. I was not looking for anybody special but I spied a friendly looking man on the site who also was not on the lookout, made contact and we started emailing as friends.
We sent each other more photos via the site and after sometime, decided to meet for a coffee. We met up in Cambridge (about 1 hours travel for us both) and as soon as we spied each other, there was an instant attraction and we had such a great time together. We met as often as we could and by Christmas, we’d introduced our families and started talking about ‘the future’. Neither of us feels the need to marry again but who knows where we will be by Christmas 2010?
